Orange Challenge #2

A craft in the color of orange.  Hmm???? Here are our decisions:

I (Tara) made a paper covered notebook.  I like how I brought the purple out of the plaid paper.

Mom made a fall candy bucket.  She got a bunch of scrapbook flowers in the bucket and decided to recycle it into a candy bucket.  It's really nice, because the little kids can't snitch . . . they don't know how to open it!!!  They also can't tell if there's anything in it.

Rachel made a scrapbooked and framed Bible verse.

Soup, Cookies, Balloons, & Fall Decor

Mom made Chicken & Wild Rice Soup tonight; it was delicious!  There were some leftovers so mom put some in the fridge for tomorrow, and put the rest in these pint jars and put them in the freezer.  It's perfect because then she can just take them out of the freezer and warm them up, and there her lunch is.

I made cookies today; it was a huge batch!  They were some kind of peanut butter with chocolate, peanut butter, white chocolate, and butterscotch chips.  They were pretty good!

Mom bought balloons for the kids today. They had a lot of fun with them.

Clayton with his balloon ~ turned out kind of weird - not sure why:)

Christopher with his balloon.

Hunter "blowing" up his balloon:)

Bronwyn with her balloon.

Brownyn and Forrest with their balloons.

I also recenty put out some fall decorations ~ not that we have all that much, but . . . :)

By the way, the pumkin on the right is a toilet paper roll, with a bit of batting wrapped around it, and then the fabric on the outside, tucked into the center of the pumpkin.  The leaf is just a green piece of fabric kind of stuck into the center of the pumkin.

Well, there you go. Hope you have had an awesome day today!

God's Peace and Love,
Aimee

August 28th, 2010

Leona had been wanting me to take pictures for Kenzey's birth announcement, so my last Saturday that I was there, that is what I did.
Here she is before.

Not sure exactly how she wanted the picture, I took a bunch of different ones.  She slept through it all.
Kenzey Marie Traffie
Born August 14th, 2010, to Tim & Leona Traffie & loving siblings, Laylah, Jenae, Shandi, Rhianne, Brock, & Aidan.
7 lbs, 9 oz, 20 3/4 inches

In the afternoon, the kids had fun playing in the sandbox.

Then, that evening, Tim & Leona took Grandma, Laylah, & I out to eat at Longhorn Steakhouse.  Laylah got to come because it was partly for her birthday since Kenzey was born on her birthday (which she was very excited about) so she hadn't got to go yet.

August 27th, 2010

Anikka was at Leona's till after lunch on Friday.  We walked through the woods & then walked down the road, too.  At one point we got Laylah to take a picture of us.

At around 4:00 Lila & Savannah came & picked me up.  After dealing with a flat tire & waiting around for Jack to come change it for us, we were finally on our way to Kimball's for ice cream.

After that, we went to the Cathedral of the Pines.

Savannah was pretending to meditate at this place that had a Japanese name.  It didn't work too well, as she could hardly keep herself from laughing.

Savannah, Lila & I thanks to self-timer :)

Afterwards, we went to Lila's house & had supper.  When Mike got home, we took the truck, being much more reliable than the van with a spare tire.  We picked up Dolly.  Before we went back home, we went to McDonald's... & got our picture with all 4 of us in it :)

It was a very fun day.. one of the many I had while I was in New Hampshire :)

Love & God's Peace,
Rachel
